PayPad® V3 ( Front Image | Side Image | Rear Image | Large Photo )

PayPad® V3 is major upgrade from the previous version of PayPad (V2) in features, security and design. The PayPad PC-POS Payment Terminal offers one of the industry's smallest footprints in a PC-POS device category and at an extremely affordable price point. The new modern ergonomic design fits comfortably in the hand and makes it easy to use while custom labeling creates a new vehicle for brand awareness.

In response to numerous inquiries and requests from within the payment industry, 3PEA has identified and acknowledged the need for affordability, convenience, robust flexibility, compact design and has developed a cost-effective combination of form and function to address the rapid growth and needs of the PC-POS device market. Additionally, the 3PEA architecture, along with its API, allows Windows developers to quickly and easily turn any Windows software application into a fully functioning payment terminal. Unlike most other MSR/PINpad devices, the PayPad has been specifically designed for seamless integration with the Windows Operating System.

PayPad V3 builds on the strengths of previous versions of the PayPad product line while adding higher levels of security and functionality. This upgrade will allow PayPad further penetration into traditional point-of-sale markets for the growing number of customers implementing Windows PC-based POS payment solutions.
The company will begin accepting orders for the PayPad V3 PC-POS Payment Terminals in the second quarter of 2007. The PayPad V3 PC-POS will level the playing field by providing affordable deployments to financial service companies of all sizes who are currently using or are planning to use a Windows PC-based payment solution.

PayPad V3 is a high-performance USB based peripheral device which incorporates an MSR (Magnetic Stripe Reader), EPP (Encrypting PINPad) and Smart Card (Integrated Circuit Card) Reader. The PayPad V3 terminal includes an LCD (16x2) display, enhanced tamper features to meet PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance, and designed to be a handheld POS device. It has also been upgraded from a USB (Universal Serial Bus) 1.1 to USB 2.0. The PayPad V3 meets stringent security requirements, including a processor and RAM encased in epoxy with a secure cryptographic module, DES, 3DES, DUKPT and 3DES DUKPT support.

KeySecure Injector

Most industry cryptographic key loaders are designed to inject PINpads in smaller quantities. The configurations of these loaders enable them to inject 2,4,8 or 16 terminals at most. 3PEA’s KeySecure Injector provides a key loader that is able to inject more PINpads at one tine, 3PEA developed its own cryptographic key loader. By using an Atalla HSM, SCT, PC and cascading USB hubs, 3PEA’s KeySecure Injector provides a scalable secure key loader that meets ABA (TG3/Visa) requirements. This key loader can currently inject 32 PayPad terminals at once.

With PayPad® V3 now supporting 3DES DUKPT and USB 2.0, 3PEA has begun the development of a new version of the KeySecure Injector. This version will support larger injection capability, with 32, 64 and 128 terminal capacity versions planned. It will also handle 3DES and DES DUKPT key management. After the release of the KeySecure Injector that is able to load the PayPad V3 Terminals, the company also plans to deploy a 16 and 32 serial port version that will be capable of loading serial PINpads from other payment terminal manufacturers.

One might surmise that 3PEA is trying to commoditize the deployment of debit terminals and that assumption would be absolutely correct. It is hard to beat the combination of a proprietary keyloader that can inject a large number of PINpads at the same time and coupled with the surprisingly low cost of 3PEA’s PayPad Terminals. If you are planning a payment upgrade of your business systems, either to enable debit or upgrade for compliance, 3PEA is the solution your looking for. PINsmart™ EFT Link

The PINsmart EFT Link Windows based Client/Server software components are designed to enable customers to process PayPad® transactions through their own payment processing connections using a simple thin client model. The PayPad EFT Link Solution targets companies looking for a turn-key solution to deploy large numbers of PayPad payment terminals quickly and cost-effectively.

The PINsmart EFT Link Client ActiveX Control loaded into a web page, receives simple object parameter tags for processing from the customer application, and after receiving the magnetic stripe track data and encrypted PIN block from the PayPad payment terminal, submits the XML transaction message over a secure connection (SSL) to the PINsmart EFT Link Server.

The PINsmart EFT Link Server is a multi-threaded windows server application that can receive transactions for any number of merchants on a single system, with all activity logged to an SQL database. Processor connectivity has been segmented from the server application so that multiple payment processor connectivity can be supported. The PINsmart EFT Link Server currently supports one major processor, with support for other processors expected in the near future. The server also has built-in scrubbing features such as a banned card, banned terminal and banned IP address features for wider control of deployed PayPad payment terminals and card activity for the acquirer.

System Requirements: PINsmart EFT Link Client ActiveX Control requires Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher. PINsmart EFT Link Server requires Microsoft Windows 2003 Server, SQL Server 2000 and Internet Information Server (IIS) 6. PayPad® is a USB based peripheral device which incorporates an MSR (Magnetic Stripe Reader), EPP (Encrypting PINPad) and Smart Card (Integrated Circuit Card) Reader. The new version includes an LCD (16x2) screen, enhanced tamper features to meet PCI compliance, and is designed to be a handheld POS device.
